Our shop, established in 1810, has been in the Galerie de la Reine since 1847.

In 1951, Irène Mallit, who had been an employee of the shop for several years, took over the business and founded the company la Manufacture Belge de Dentelles SA.

At the beginning of the 1960s, her daughter Miriam together with her husband Henri Everaerts expanded the business. They extended the range of the shop’s activities, introducing new items and setting up workshops destined exclusively for traditional production of top quality lace. Nowadays, these workshops enable us to offer our clientele the finest hand-made lace in the purest Belgian tradition.

In the early 1990s, their sons Arnaud and Serge joined la Manufacture Belge de Dentelles, with the intention of carrying on the tradition and spirit of this family firm. They assist their parents in running the workshops as well as the shop and the wholesale business. .

Due to its strong family roots and its rigorous business policies, la Manufacture Belge de Dentelles is able to offer its customers a range of high-quality lace, as well as personalised information and professional advice.

Whether you are just curious, a lace enthusiast or a collector, you will soon come to appreciate the cosy atmosphere of our shop, as well as its prime location in the magnificent setting of the Galerie de la Reine. We would be happy to welcome you and advise you in a quiet setting far from the bustling crowds of tourists.
